Languages

Because the world of SCQ was originally conceived of as a setting for Dungeons & Dragons, the show may occasionally mention languages from D&D’s “Players Handbook.” However, only a handful of those languages play a significant role in the show:

  • Common

    • Most communities are fluent in Common. However, some isolated towns (especially in the Salten Sea or the Northern Range) may only have one or two residents who speak it.

  • Dwarvish

    • Dwarvish is most commonly spoken in Mt. Renna and the Northern Range.

  • Draconic

    • Draconic is the most common language spoken on the Salten Sea. Characters with a Salten Sea accent typically are performed with something similar to a real-world French accent.

  • CSL (Common Sign Language)

    • Although CSL is not particularly ubiquitous, some small communities are nearly 100% fluent.
